ProWritingAid 101
Founder and CEO of ProWritingAid, Chris Banks, will walk you through the ProWritingAid web editor to help you get up and running. See how key features like the Summary Report, Real-Time Checking, and Word Explorer can help you improve your craft. The session will finish with a live Q&A.
Chris Banks is an expert on creativity and language technologies. He started ProWritingAid to help with his own writing, but he soon saw how useful it was for everyone else. Now, he wants to help more people put their ideas into words and those words into the hands (and hearts) of readers.
ProWritingAid 101 happens on the first Tuesday of every month.
Ask a Book Doctor
On the second Tuesday of every month, the ProWritingAid community is invited to bring all their questions to our favorite Book Doctor, Sally O-J.
A book doctor works alongside the author, looking at everything from plot and characterization to writing technique, dialogue and texture. If you're wondering how to turn your manuscript from a labor of love into a bestseller, a book doctor's diagnosis might be what you're missing. Copyless 1 8 11.
When bestselling author Sarah Waters OBE (Fingersmith, Tipping the Velvet) was just starting out, she turned to Sally for feedback, encouragement and support. Sally has worked as a book doctor with Sarah on all of her novels since.
Each webinar will be based around a topic and Sally will provide practical advice and training before opening up for questions from attendees.

If you've ever heard of the Kingsoft Office Suite, you might be familiar with their word processor. Well, the company has decided to offer this product as a separate freeware product if you're not ready to take the plunge and purchase the Kingsoft Office Suite.
With that said, Kingsoft Writer is somewhat similar to Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect. The layout is just like any other word processor we've seen in the last few years but in this case it follows the route of OpenOffice and offers itself to users for free.
Writer Pro 1 4 – Professional Writing Suite Download
One thing that makes Kingsoft Writer Free a perfect companion in your daily working life is the fact that it is fully compatible with the current word processing standard: Microsoft Office files like .doc, .docx and .txt files. Kingsoft's product also fully supports the addition and positioning of clipart and other images within documents.
As any self-respecting word processing would do, Kingsoft Writer Free includes a spell-check feature and does a pretty good job, at least in English.
Overall, a very familiar layout with extremely easily recognizable icons. And the blue/white square 'W' icon? Looks like something else I'm used to seeing :)
Kingsoft Writer is software which can open DOC and DOCX files.
